Verzasca Valley - the greenest water ever

Verzasca Valley in Ticino (Switzerland) is one of the most if not the most beautiful valleys in Ticino. The main attraction is the Verzasca river (verde aqua = green water) with its amazing green water and the landscape shaped by the fast flow.

Other must see places in the valley are: the little village Sonogno at the very end of the valley with only 97 inhabitants and old stone houses, the stone "Roman" bridge at Lavertezzo and the Verzasca dam near the lake. All of these are beautiful, the latter breathtaking (220 m high, famous for the bungee jumping in the film of James Bond - Goldeneye).

If you are by car, feel free to use it, there are parking facilities everywhere, you can also take the bus or walk if you have enough time for a full day hike. Be awar of the hight differences.
