For Women's Day

The Orell Füssli bookstores organized events for the International Women's Day. In one of there stores in Zürich we had the chance to listen to the reading of Ruth Maria Kubitschek, the famous German (actually Czeck, living in Switzerland for over more than 20 years now) actress.  

Look at her, she is 83! ... and so wise, natural and spiritual ...

Clean air

Due to the unusually mild winter the dust concentration in the air is so deep as it was 40 years ago. The air is clean, the Alps get visible from almost every part of the country.

Bridge trail - St. Gallen

St. Gallen has more bridges than do most other cities in Switzerland. The Bridge Trail leads from the St.Gallen-Haggen Station and over 18 bridges. This 7.5 kilometre walking trail starts at the train station in St. Gallen-Haggen and goes to Spisegg. The trail runs past eighteen viaducts, wooden and concrete bridges and suspension bridges and through the river landscape in the Sitter- und Wattbachlandschaft nature reserve. An information board at each bridge explains much about the design, year of construction and the construction itself.
