Tessin - in Italian Ticino - is the only Italian speaking canton of Switzerland, south from the Alps. It is a complete different world. Not only the language but the culture, architecture and also the climate is different. Absolutely worth visiting!

Homeless

He is the first homeless person I've seen in Switzerland in 4 years ... Location: Zürich.

Head sculptures

Vindonissa, located in what is today called Windisch, was an important Roman legion's camp 2000 years ago. 6000 legionnaires once prepared themselves for their deployment on behalf of the Roman Emperor and an additional 4000 civil people moved and settled there to supply the legionnaires.

The ruins of the ancient west gate are surrounded by the above sculptures.
