This afternoon was the public opening ceremony of the Zürich Tattoo, the military band show. Participating countries are Switzerland, Great Britain, Sweden, Mexico, Jordan and Singapore.

Hanging bridge

If you're looking for the longest hanging bridge of Europe, you should go to Switzerland, Sattel. The bridge was built in 2010 and is 374 meters long, 58 meters above the valley. Not only the hanging bridge, but the sorrounding is also breathtaking.

Zürifäscht

The biggest festival of Switzerland - Zürifäscht - is organised in Zürich, every 3 years.  The whole city of Zürich turns into a giant festival. The program is quite eclectic. One should not miss the fireworks in the evening (we did). There are some 2,5 million visitors expected during the 3 days of the festival.

Radio Energy on Tour

Radio Energy Zürich is on tour with a so called Energy Cube live studio. This is how it looked yesterday in Baden. They moved to Züri Fäscht today.

Non-public transport

On my way home my bus suddenly reached after a big curve this special car (train?) driving not more than 10 km/hour. Some passengers of the bus seemed to know people on it so they got off the bus and the car (train?) stopped so that they can have a chat ... There's no hurry. :)

Back to school

 

School hasn't finished yet but the accessories for the next schoolyear are already available. True that summer break is pretty short, 5 weeks only but pshycologically it isn't fair to remind students that school will start soon again ...
